"Rooted in feelings, leaving all rationality behind."
Italian pioneers of atmospheric doom and progressive metal, Novembre have been sculpting soundscapes of melancholy and beauty since their original inception as Catacomb in 1990. Led by visionary guitarist and vocalist Carmelo Orlando, the band adopted the name Novembre in 1993, forging a signature sound that interweaves gloomy, foreboding melodies with transcendent passages of ethereal serenity.
With Words of Indigo, their ninth album, Novembre marks 35 years of artistic evolution — a journey that has seen them evolve from raw doom-death roots into one of the most distinctive voices in progressive metal. Featuring a renewed lineup alongside the masterful production of Dan Swanö, this album represents their most expansive and emotionally immersive work to date.
